Our Sponsored child
At Tennyson Road Primary we sponsor a child in Uganda. Through our sponsorship he is able to attend school and get an education.
We have sponsored Emesu Junior since he was very little and are proud to be able to help him get an education and improve his life chances. At school we organise events to raise money to send to the charity, in return they buy educational resources and pay for him to attend school.
Here is the latest updated info from the team at Uganda Hands for Hope:
Dear Tennyson Road Primary School,
Greetings from Uganda Hands for Hope and we hope you are well. Please find attached the latest school report(s) of your sponsored child(ren) for Term 2 2022. On behalf of all children and staff at UHfH, we are very grateful for your continued support.
2022 has so far been a year of reset for all the children we support as schools reopened earlier in the year and all children are now settled back into school and back into the mindset of learning after almost 2 years away from the classroom due to COVID-19.
This term we were pleased to welcome Catherine to the organisation as our new Project Head to lead our team and take forward our activities and support for the children and families of Namuwongo. We have also had various events this term including talent shows, music performances, the start of our virtual classroom engagements and visits from students and teachers of international schools in Kampala to interact with our children and visit the Namuwongo community. For all the latest news and information, please check out our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/handsforhope/
Thank you again for your support to some of Kampala’s most vulnerable children and their families, it is very much appreciated.
Sending our thanks and best wishes
The Uganda Hands for Hope Team.
