What another busy half term, Cygnets have really enjoyed the topic about pirates where we have talked about what pirates were really like and made a fantastic pirate ship. We labelled the different parts of a pirate ship and even had a go at walking the plank in class. We even went on a search for the missing treasure chest where we had to find answers to the clues given by the pirate. We used treasure maps to find hidden treasure and designed our own pirate flags.
During Book Week we looked at the story of The Gingerbread Man. The children enjoyed retelling the story, decorating gingerbread men, sharing their favourite traditional tales in class and dressing up for World Book Day. The children also had great fun making gingerbread play dough and watching a performance of The Gingerbread Man.
The children have been very busy this half term and achieved so much! Well Done Cygnets! We hope you all have a restful half term holiday. Next half term we will be looking at the story of The Gingerbread Man and learning about Easter. We are looking forward to seeing your Wow! moments when we come back to school.
We dressed up in red to support the British Heart Foundation and donated some money to help the children at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
